I have a 90' hatch, ka24e.

when ever I go into 3rd or 4th my gears tend to give a strange grind. it can be only heard in the inside of the car. i'am thinking(but dont know) if the clutch is going bad. I have papers when I bought the car saying the transmission has been totally re-built(including the clutch and fly-wheel). have no idea whats going on. but some times when I shift it does not grind.

any info will help.

thanks!

I say your syncos are dying and probably need a reguild or just replace the transmission

I'd try to replace the transmission fluid with some cheap fluid to see if that's the case.. if the grinding goes away, use the good stuff such as redline

welll, if it's clutch related issue, it might not engage very well. A dying clutch, from what I read, can not grab very well.

since you been grinding very often, you might have a lot of metal shaving, if it doesn't cost too much, maybe you can find a shop that does flushing for cheap
