Grinding sound when i reverse

I have a 91 240sx and when i go in reverse and brake i hear a very hard grinding sound. This only happens in reverse and when i try to brake in reverse. Any thoughts?

Is the car manual? If not, have you checked out your brakes?

It's manual, i looked at the brakes but they didn't look bad

I would tke a closer look at the brakes. Make sure that the pads aren't metal to metal on the rotor.

I was actually gonna replace all my brakes because they were squeaking like crazy and feel like they were goin bad. So i'll see if it makes a difference hopefully.
