Post

Hi all, I am brand new to the forum so I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong section or if a similar topic has already been discussed.

Anyways the problem I had began a couple days ago on my 1998 Pathfinder XE. While I was driving I started to hear a soft humming noise, and it quickly turned into a screeching/grinding whenever I applied the brakes. It's a truly painful noise and even causes vibration in my steering wheel at low speeds. Naturally I figured my brake pads were long overdue and were beginning to grind into the rotors.

So yesterday I replaced the brake pads but the screeching/grinding continued. The rotors were near minimum thickness and appeared a little warped so today I replaced those also. After these replacing both the pads and rotors the problem still exist.

Does anyone have any idea what else could be causing this problem? My alignment is off so could that affect the brakes this way? I'm out of options now, next I was just going to spray brake cleaner onto the area and grease the pads/clips.

Any help would be great, thanks!
