Grinding noise near steering wheel

I have a sort of grinding noise coming from my steering colum. The noise comes right from behind the steering wheel it seems when I turn it. Its not major grinding just a bit, what could this possibly be?

I have a sort of grinding noise coming from my steering colum. The noise comes right from behind the steering wheel it seems when I turn it. Its not major grinding just a bit, what could this possibly be?

I have nothing useful to add other than, the fact that mine does that too. I get a grinding noise when turning the wheel to the right. It seems to come from the bottom of the steering column. I have so many other things to do on the car that I haven't really looked in to it yet.

Yeah I just want to be sure its nothing serious, if it is I guess I will take the steering wheel off tomorrow and see if I can spot the spot where the grindage is taking place.
