grinding noise from trans, why?!?

Hey, so I was driving my car today, and I noticed this grinding/rattling noise coming from the trans (I think)it only happens after 2500 RPMs in 1-4th gear from what I know so far (haven't checked 5th) and when I shift up a gear after the 2500 RPM is hitit doesn't make any noises at idle...so what could it be?

Sounds like your syncros are gone better look around for a new transmission or get yours looked at and maybe rebuilt......Wait a sec I've got a trans for an '89 240sx KA24E rebuilt 50 000km ago $100 you ship or maybe I'll meet you in Niagara Falls
