I just got my first 240 about a week ago. It's a 1991 240sx Fastback with an SR swap. The body has 225,000 miles on it and the engine and transmission both have about 50,000 on them. There is an upgraded SPEC stage 3 clutch with about 10,000 miles on it, as well as a new master cylinder. The problem I am having is as I am about to accelerate, it sounds as if I am grinding the hell out of the clutch, but only happens ever so often, especially when I am trying to turn a little. This also occurs in fourth gear if I'm in the higher RPMs (over 4,000).
I'm pretty much stumped on this one. I've looked up similar problems as to mine, and all I am seeing is talk about adjusting the clutch and getting a new master cylinder, both I have already done. I am really considering it to be the transmission slipping and about to get a new one. Any input on my problem would be very much appreciated, as I am brand new to the whole Nissan scene and the forums
