My 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe

So, I had my upper and lower grille installed last night. It took about 3 hours. The bottom one was super easy, but the top one needed a little tweaking.

In the second pic, you can clearly see that back thing showing through. I'm thinking that I will need to get that painted black and also paint the top and bottom part of it too because I think it looks tacky.

What do you think? Other than that, do you think it looks good? Is there anything you would do differently to even hide the inside part?

Crap. I know. It's so much work though. My friend's stepdad is a mechanic, so he offered to help me for free. I'm just a girl and needed a man to help haha, but I'm not incompetent or anything lol. I need to buy some new headlights and foglights, so maybe when I install those, I'll tackle the middle part thing. That way, I only remove the bumper once more, rather than a couple more times. Bleh.

Looks pretty clean. What type of grille is that?

Hmm, I'm not sure, but I think that piece might be reinforcing the parts of the car it is connecting. May just want to paint it. People definitely always complain about it though for sure.

I bought it on ebay. I think it's called "Viogi". It was cheap. :D

Yea, you're right. I was thinking that it might be reinforcing something on the bumper, so I think I'll spray paint it black and leave it as that. At least it will look better than how it looks now. I'll post a pic.

Ah gotcha. Yeah, that was my thought. I've seen posts where people have complained about it. They all end up just painting it black. That should do the trick.

But yeah cool, post pics. I'm updating my grille in the next couple days myself.

Oh yes. I'm definitely painting the top parts of the bumper where the grille is attached and not just that middle part. I hope it comes out good. Should I sand those parts first and then spray paint it? I bought some regular Rustoleum black and clear paint. Hope that's good enough.

I didn't know about different kinds of grilles. I just like this one and rolled with it.

Hey guys. So, today I spent some time working on fixing the upper grille.

I cut that piece off with a small hand saw thing and then I sanded it so that it's smooth. It was really easy. I painted the top and bottom part black so that it doesn't show through.

I think I did a pretty good job for a girl. :) I'M SO PROUD OF MYSELF! HEHE

Definitely looks better without that piece visible for sure.

A little under $100 in total for both. The upper was I think $62 and the lower was like $35. I bought both on ebay.
