Grille painting. Should I remove it or just paint it on the car?

I'm thinking about plasti dipping the grille on my '08 AC. I researched some and found that it's pretty annoying to take the grille off because to do so, you have to take the whole bumper off. Do you guys think that would be necessary or would I be able to paint it on the car? My only worry is that I would get paint into things that are behind the grille. Thanks!

When I dipped my grill i took the bumper completely off, but If you want to spray the chrome parts then you don't need to. You can just take out the interests and then dip them.

If you do wind up taking the bumper off just make sure you carefully remove the plastic clips when you first pop the hood. I broke 2 already.

I plasti dipped them. All i did was put masking tape over the nissan center part of the emblem and sprayed the whole grille.
