Grille paint?

Getting tired of the unpainted gray bars on my 07 sedan, has anyone just tried to paint it? I've been thinking about just a black metallic paint using the spray "dulpi-color" from autozone. Don't really want to spend a lot on an aftermarket grille either, most of them are not my style anyway.

I can't think of any reason paint wouldn't work, other than potentially heat from the radiator, although the fender/hood are subject to the same or more heat than the grille.

Thoughts/suggestions?
