Hello fellow M owners-

Recently in FL we have had a lot of rain (I am assuming that it is the culprit of this issue) and unfortunately noticed something not so good earlier today on my 08' M35. The top chrome grille piece that sits on the edge of the hood is coming loose. I noticed that it is tied town by some sort of a super glue / epoxy type of substance.

Does anyone know what specifically the glue is that is used?
I figured that this shouldn't be that hard of a fix to take care of one day.

Any advice is appreciated!!

I had a similar issue on my 07 M. Aside from the tiny screws on the under side, it appeared to have some sort of flimsy double-sided tape along the upper edges that had deteriorated. I removed that whole piece, cleaned off the area where the previous tape was, cleaned off the marks the tape left on the hood, and applied new 3M tape along the edges where it lays against the hood.

I have the same issue. The piece is actually broken on the driver side where the small screw holds it in. 3M tape will prob be the way to go as a new one is approx $77.
