Anyone else go to GridLife last weekend at Gingerman Raceway? It was my first time and I had a blast, but the weather sucked. Rained from Friday afternoon all the way until Sunday morning. Temperature dropped from mid 80's to mid 40's. Cold and wet.

Other than that, it was awesome. I did the Friday HPDE event. Here's my last session of the day, which was the most fun I had. Me and a 350Z were running next to identical lap times which made it that much more fun. This was in my '12 Juke.

I'm not familiar with Grid Life, but I see you're running in the advanced run group now. Well done, young Padwan. Gingerman looks flat, smooth and fun with lotsa runoff. Nice vid.

It's basically a 3 day weekend of HPDE, TA, drifting, car show, and concert. Here's a video that kind of recaps the weekend:

I had originally debated on signing up for advanced or intermediate because although I normally run in the advanced class, I have never been to this track, so I chose to sign up for intermediate. However, at the drivers meeting they said the intermediate class was crowded and advanced was pretty thin, so if anyone wanted to move up they could ask to. So I did, and I'm glad I did. I ran one session that was combined with intermediate (Advanced session #5 got cut short due to lightening), and it was painfully crowded. Plus, a lot of intermediate guys don't like to point people by, especially when they are in a GTR or 911 and you're in a Juke. I was glad to be back in advanced-only for this last session of the day.

Also, it actually has a decent elevation change towards the very back of the track. The last turn before the long straight is an off camber, down hill, 180 degree turn that was incredibly slick in the rain. I almost went off a couple times during heavy rain, but caught grip just before the edge of the track. You can see that in my session 5 video here around the 6:45 mark:

LOL, understeer a little? Grid Life seems a lot like the annual "Hyperfest", at Summit Point Raceway (east coast). Similar mix of activities. Looked fun.
