Is it possible to set up the Greddy turbo kit so that you dont need to remove the oil pan in order to install the oil return? Anyone have a clue?thanx

GAH!! NO..im in denial. I have heard the nightmares. I think im just gunna have a shop install it. :0)~

lol...its up to you i guess...if you wanna give it to a shop then alright...as long as you dont attempt to NOT take the oil pan off. let us know if you still dont get how to do it after you've searched

yeah, its been discussed before and iirc IAP's kit doesn't require removal of the pan. Use a grease coated bit, drill slow, and wipe the shavings often.

NO!!! That fitting IAP gives you leaks. Greg's is leaking and is going to weld a new one in. Just take the pan off and have it welded.

Take it to a shop to have that fitting put on.

I took mine to Toms Performance and they popped off the pan and welded it up like the instructions said for $100... Worth me not getting dirty.

the IAP kit fitting/flange did leak at all on GEO's car when we did it. we still ended up taking off the pan out of paranoia to check for blockage

^^ it did leak or didnt leak?

The hard part of the KA oil pan is getting it back on without smearing the RTV that is being used to seal it. Thats said, get a cork gasket and putting it on wont be to big of a deal at all. I wish the KA oil pan was more similiar to the SR design, Id say one of the only advantages the SR has over the KA is the dual oil pan design and provisions for an oil return.
