Gremlins in my Truck

I'm back at it now that wheat is planted. My truck 90 model is getting new problems as it sits. The front cylinder is not firing or rather its not getting gas. Pulled the plug wire and there is plenty of spark. I took off the injector connector and it's not firing a signal the reason i say this is i put it on the 2nd cyl. and put 2nd cyl. injector plug on first and the 2nd didn't work. Do all injector connectors come from the same source and don't they all fire at the same time. connector bad? Also put ground to a/f meter and same problem it surges with any peddle . Got all the gas leaks fixed that were at the injectors. Starts with just a touch of the key which before it had to crank for a while. Looked at the codes and it said a/f but changed that and it still says it is bad. Although this problem with surging happens with or without a/f hooked up. What part does the FICD play. Could this cause surging. Well back to the grind as i'm about to grind it into dust if it does'nt work
