Greg WTF is up with these ads?

Why am I getting 250x250 ads doubled up at the top of each page? So I have to scroll 500px just to get to the content...

Those are ment to be in the side bar, banners are for the top of pages. At a minimum the two, 250px ads should be side by side...

I don't have a problem with the ads... I'm specifically talking about the "stacking" of two 250px ads in the wrong place.

I'm an Art Director for large advertising agency, I do this for a living so seeing this bugs the crap out of me.

i find if you aren't logged in you get them but when you are, they appear normal, also if you use firefox or chrome, download the add-on "adblock", the ads will all be gone.

The ads on NICO are pretty slim compared to the Dodge Truck sites I used to frequent when I had a Ram.

My question about the ads is that how do they know what a thread is about!? It freaks me out. Like there will be a thread on wiperblades or brakes and there will be an ad for them... every time. GET OUT OF OUR HEADS!

Greg is at Carlisle this weekend, but he's not the only one that handles this stuff

I don't see them right now, but I have seen them do that before on my phone, nowhere else though. It's likely due to the ad code working differently in different browsers. Not much we can do about it, different computers do different things, and you can't always predict how it's gonna display everywhere, no matter how many browsers you test it in.

I don't know for sure how this one works, but it probably pulls keywords from that thread and loads related items into the ads for the users viewing that page.
