i've been lurking in this sub-forum for a couple months now. i figured it was about time for me to introduce myself and make a few comments. i just made 2 posts and a lot of you regulars in here are probably wondering where the heck this guy came from.

i spend most of my time on nico in the 240sx convertible forum as that's the nissan platform that i spend most of my time with. i'm on my second vert and also own a pathfinder. i've got a few ka24de's and ca18de(t)'s laying around in my shop and the corresponding collections of parts.

i first got into cars with the DSM (eclipse/talon/laser) and am still a huge fan of that platform. like the s-chassis stuff, i've got tons of 4g63 engines and parts laying around.

i'm 23, married, no kids. i live in hemlock, michigan, usa and work in saginaw, mi as a structural engineer - just over 1 year out of college.

so what am i doing here? a friend of mine from the detroit area spends a lot of time in junkyards and told me about this pristine q45 that was down there. i thought to myself... a 4.5L... that must be a v8... hmmm... so my pursuit of knowledge began. like i said, i've been lurking ever since and have become quite fascinated with this gem of an engine.

i'm quite impressed and inspired by most of the things i've seen/read/heard in this forum and other places that i've gathered information. i think i'm becoming obsessed with owning a vh45de.

i'd like to pick up a q45 in the near future and start tinkering with it. maybe down the road yank it out and pull it apart and build it for something interesting.
