My name is Joel and I am located in northerrn Illinois. WAY West of Chicago!
I'm an avid Jeep Guy, however I needed a vehicle that was better on the wallet when it comes to petrol, and with a bit longer legs than my Wrangler. However it still needed to be able to be loaded up with guitars, and/or long-guns. So I started looking through the local used car market when this little, metallic grey Versa HB caught my eye. Checking reviews furiously and techincal info, I became the 2nd owner of it about a month ago. (The first owner put 40,000 miles on it and then traded it in.)
A friend of mine has a term that he looks at things. "What is the 'Smiles per Mile' on it?" I gotta say I was REALLY surprised with this little bugger! Decent amount of zip to it, a TON of legroom for my 6' frame, and just, I don't know... FUN! LOL!
At the moment it is bare stock (SL package I believe), except for removing the "powder-puff horn" and mounting a set of air-horns behind the grill. A CAI is definately on the menu as well as window tint and Vent Shades (Specifically the ones FOR the HB as I don't like the looks of the ones that "fit both".) Plus a couple of roof mounted antennas (I have not had a vehicle with a METAL ROOF for over 12 years! LOL) for my Amateur Radio Hobby (NW9J). After that... who knows?
Cruising through the Versa Forums, you people have a LOT of GREAT ideas as to how you have individualized your vehicles, tech problems, etc... AND are willing to pass along your knowledge to help others out. That is AWESOME! :-)
So I am hoping that I will be able to help other folks out as well and add to the community!
