The Nissan is my happy wifes car but I love it too.
Its a 2011 Altima Coupe with 3.5SR package and factory installed rear spoiler. Its the pearl white(forget correct color name) color with blonde leather interior with mats and step plates. 18" wheels, very sharp car.

I had a couple of questions and actually looked around on here for a while before starting a new thread but so far have not found the thread with answer.
Apology in advance if I missed it...

The owners manual for this car says on this engine that Nissan recommends using genuine Nissan esther oil but the dealer has serviced it so far every time(3 times I think) and they are putting Mobil1 in it(traditional motor oil not synthetic)

I asked the service manager about it and of course he said it was fine....they use Mobil1 in these cars all the time.

The other question was would it be complete idiocy to remove the Altima 3.5SR badge from the rear decklid and put some 370Z emblems on the front fenders and the rear decklid? :)

Had an Altima coupe (3.5 SE) for a few years. Traditional oils won't hurt a thing. Rock the Mobil 1 and don't worry about it.

As far as the Z emblems go, I personally wouldn't. But it's not my car. Most on here would give you a hard time about pretending your car is something that it's not. But, at the end of the day, you don't have to answer to us about anything. Do what makes you happy.

Welcome to NICO. And check out the altima coupe section for tons of useful information.

:welcome: .. we dont take a liking to your "fake badges" kind 'round these here parts of the interwebs :)

all joking aside i wouldn't just because they are 2 completely different cars, and you'll probably get some haters but no one can stop you, which is the greatest part of forums :)

but i'm sure you'll love the car and all the guys and girls here are always helpful with any questions as long as you at least attempt using the search button before starting another thread :yesnod welcome to the altima coupe family

Yo!

Which part of North AL are you rockin? I'm in the Huntsville area myself.

As far as oil goes - I have always run Mobil1 in my coupe (and my 370) and have never had problems whatsoever. My Z actually runs better on the Mobil than Nissan's Ester (Mobil-1 is ester based anyway, so not worth spending the extra money on Nissan's ester, which is non-synthetic to boot). Mobil-1 Extended Performance from Wal Mart FTW.

Welcome aboard!

All right another local guy; I'm with everyone else the Z illuminated side markers are cool, but do not belong on our cars. I would also like to add this is coming from someone that is rockin a G35 style spoiler and 350Z wheels, so you can say I'm pretending to have something I don't have.

One last thing; Roll Tide!

I'm originally from Mississippi and my Dad was born in AL and graduated from Alabama. They're my 2nd favorite college team so I root for them. :yesnod
