Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hey Guys, Just purchased a new 2015 qx50, Loving the car!! Looking forward to this forum!
A quick question, seems like my sales guy doesn't really know about this feature, "Welcoming Lights"

So I followed the manual, it does everything it mentions, but it just doesn't work any tips?

Thanks
Canon

found this from an earlier post: Oh, and Welcome!

1. Get in the car with your key and close the door.
2. Push the start button twice, without your foot on the brake to put the ignition into the "on" position.
3. Wind the drivers window down.
3. Within 20 seconds, reach out and open the drivers door and press the button on the exterior door handle, holding it down for at least 5 seconds.
4. You will hear a chime indicating activation/deactivation of Welcome Lighting.
5. Smile.

Something to keep in mind....say if you go on holiday and find its not working...

"If you park your EX35 for longer than 14days this feature will turn off to conserve battery reserve. The reasoning for this is simple, when this system is active the BCM is monitoring for the presence of the key ID. When the system is deactivated the detection of the iKey ID is only used when the request button or unlock buttons are pushed. This is reset once the car starts at any point within the 14 day threshold."
