So I've almost worked out all the kinks in the KA-E in my project 240. It now actually idles decent accept that it starts at 700rpm at start-up and hovers up to about 900 and stays pretty steady there, hopefully when I seafoam the manifold that will help. Anyway I've noticed that my exhaust has a kind of greenish residue coming out with it, I thought it was antifreeze but I can't smell anything but all the carbon in the exhaust. Also I don't think my head gasket is blown because I've compression tested everything 3 times and I came up with about 205 compression each and every time(head was apparently rebuilt before I bought it) and I haven't had any overheating problem.

I've also seen that the liquid dripped out of the old gaskets on the test pipe before I replaced the gaskets. Can anybody tell me from the pics what it could possibly be?

Have you check your coolant levels? Do you have to add coolant very often? If not then i guess we can take that out of the equation. If not then you should check your intake manifold, there are some coolant lines that run on there to cool intake manifold. There could be a chance that one of those lines is bad and is taking coolant to your engine. But how much of that liquid do you see coming out of your exhaust? Does it happen all of the time or only in the mornings. Because if it only happens in the mornings is normal.Let us know what you find out..

I haven't had to had any coolant since I changed it a couple months ago when I first bought it. I'm not too sure if it stops once the motors been running for awhile, I've only drove it for 3 miles since the beginning of march once I started doing heavy work on it. I don't know how to describe how much comes out but while the motor is idling you can old your hand about 2-3 feet behind the exhaust and feel the droplets hit your hand.

I'll check the intake mani and update some more.

This sounds unlikely, because in the combustion process coolant fluid will enter green or orange but the heat from the combustion process would evaporate the coolant fluid and turn it into a gas.

This sounds more like the culpriate.

But hey you never know...Maybe on its way out the evaporated coolant fluid condences and returns to its original state::shruggs sholders::
