Excellent.

After it's fully together again you need to get rid of those saw blade rims...then again, they are quite 80's and kinda fit?

Those are my junk "move it around the shop" rims. The tires are very very shot. I have a set of Frontier 15" 6-spoke rims that will be installed once it's ready to be driven again.

I guess you could look at Courtesy Parts diagrams for where parts go. Looks better than what it once was

Quick update:

Painted core support and condenser. Apron reattached and fog light wiring is almost all in place. Switched to stainless bolts. Painted and installed bumper brackets. It runs, it drives and it still has cold AC. Just waiting on a set of headlight bucket assemblies that aren't full of rust and a brand new black OEM bumper. Also decided to go with the 1986.5 2wd front end in place of the Pathfinder front idea. It just looks less awkward to me. Plus it goes with those NOS amber marker lamps I have been dying to use. It's all the little clips and incidentals that are slowing me down.

is it just me, or can we end the standard correction of that term? some people refer to wheels as "rims". get over it.

Flushed, mounted and refilled the radiator with all its fittings. Also finished fitting out the core support, lots of clips and I am so glad I kept the old one to use as a reference. I also did a minor swap to a 1996 Hardbody intake resonator. It eliminates the baffle box on the left front inner fender well so it's kind of a pseudo OEM cold air intake. The baffle box was to keep intake noise down. I don't expect any power gains from this. Lastly, I love the ITT racetrucks of the late 80's. I had an extra 'NISSAN' laying around so I used it.

Still waiting on bumper, headlight buckets, inner fender splash shields and from there it should be on the road.

Another update.

I test fitted the front 4wd flares and the fitment is excellent. I am just missing a few clips to properly secure them. I couldn't leave it alone though as I had to see what it looked like with the official wheels and tires on it. Still waiting on funds to get the bumper and headlight buckets. It's driving me nuts how slow money is coming in these days.

Any here's a few pics.

Lookin' hot. I love the 4WD fenders. I never realized how different they were until this thread, actually.

The fenders do take you by surprise. They look huge on the 2wd trucks! But since I am a fan of classic/antique trucks from the 30s-50s the bulging fenders work well for me.

That is awesome!!! Like, it makes me want to go out and start sanding on the 240 to paint it, LOL! Looking really good. I can't wait for the finished product.

Let's see, headlight buckets installed with clear lens housings. I noticed that the 'NISSAN' will be covered up by the new bumper once that arrives. I decided to extend the air dam to give the front an even more aggressive look. The 'NISSAN' will either be moved to the lower air dam or moved to the windshield, not sure yet. I have to get longer rubber to get it to wrap around the OEM air dam so it looks finished. The stuff hanging off the chin is phase 1: the learning stage. What you y'all think?

All together now! I am missing only a few small items that keep me from saying 100% complete. I am missing the belt molding on the passenger door. It seems to be on intergalatic backorder! I don't have it plated so I haven't been able to drive it since putting the bumper back on. I am hoping to at least drive it for a couple weeks before October comes and it has to go back into storage for the Winter. Next year I plan to drive the piss out of it.

A couple pics of the finished front end.
