So, i noticed that there is a green light coming out of the shroud. Even after you replace the bulbs, its still noticeable.

after some googling, i was able to find an exploded view of our headlights all taken apart.

It appears that the plastic just yellows/greens over time. Was wondering if anyone removed it completely? or if they restored it by sanding it down or even possibly making it frosted?

I've been around for a while now and I haven't heard of anyone doing anything. You may be the first :)

Great bit of detective work, mate ! At least now, we know what is causing it. I reckon if that shroud piece is hard enough, you could indeed restore it as you do the outer covering but that means in a few years more, you're back in there to RE-restore it. I wonder if that plastic piece could be tinted or painted white with a thin enough coating to allow light to pass through, or simply just chucked all together?

I dislike that greenish hue, but not enough to remove half the front end of my car to get to the headlamp assembly and then bake the headlamp to remove the outer cover and take the whole thing apart. I reckon I will just live with the 'incredible hulk' shroud.

Your probably didn't come with factory HID. Do you have AFS?
