After doing a bunch off work inside my doors the grease on the lock pullies has rubbed off a little bit. which grease can I get to replace it that will carry the same consistency and longevity or similar? or can I just put WD 40 in there and it will last just as long as provide the same protection and lubrication?

You're going to want something thicker than WD40. White lithium grease usually works fairly well, although it might not last AS long as whatever magical fairy dust grease they put in there from the factory.
Heck, even vaseline would probably work.

WD40 isnt really a lubrication, it just rids areas of friction caused by water.
WD = Water displacement. You'll want white grease.
