Hypermax III's are bawlin...

<- I have the older Hypermax's and love them to death. All these years and they're still not blown?

don't get the HKS Drags unless you really do plan on making a drag car. The spring rates don't make it fun for highway/ street driving imo.

so my question now is ... how to the hipermax III's compare to the greddy type s? im leaning towards the greddys because of the price and most importantly the electronic damperning control unit.

hmm.. I have no say on the comparison of the 2..

but.. iirc, the EDC is sold seperately... its just like Tein's edfc. I mean, it's cool because you can adjust the damper settings without getting out of your seat, but that's about it... it costs a pretty penny too, just cuz you don't want to get out of your car, lol... I mean, its not hard to adjust the damper, unless you're struts are inverted...

HKS Hypermax III's have the inverted monotube design. The Greddy Type S doesnt..

I'm going with the GReddy's, personally. I've only heard one review on them, but it's from a friend who's ridden on plenty of different coils, and according to him the corner better and ride smoother then any of the ones he's had before. Yeah, that's a horrible reason for you to buy them being that it's 3rd hand knowledge. However, main reason I'm going with them, is that price for quality coils is fantastic.

If you really can afford the HKS though, then why not, they are definitely great coils. Coilovers really are better quality, the more you spend.

Why is it hard to adjust inverted struts?

inverted = upside down. The knob is on the bottom of the strut. For me, I just turn the wheel as much as I can and stick my arm in there and try to adjust. For the rears, same thing... but it helps big time if I raise it up. Its a pain in the asss... but its not like I constantly change my settings or anythign. I think I've had the same damper settings for like 3 years or somethign.
