I haven't seen any review on these Greddy coilover so I I bit the bullet and bought them because I wanted more of a street ride for my daily driver s14. Previous owner had installed Eibach sport and kyb-gr and the ride was not to my liking. The funny thing is the Greddy feels a lot more comfortable and smoother even with the higher spring rates. I guess it's all in the design. Anyway, install was straightforward other than a few stubborn bolts.

Initial ride was hard, bouncy, and not what I was looking for in a street ride. I thought I made a mistake buying these but then I found out that damper setting was one click from hard, set from the factory. I adjusted them to the middle and the ride was much more comfortable (but now I lost the crisp turn-in ). At low speed, you will still feel the rolling bumps but as you get up to speed it gets a lot better, smoother more comfortable ride. I still get a little bouciness (like cut springs) up front at highway speed but hopefully I can dial it out. Due to the short travel, you will still feel the big dip in the road. Solid mounts also added to more vibration and noise- something that I can live with.

So if you're looking for something a little more street-able, I would suggest these Greddy coilover. I heard Tein Flex is also a good choice for the street. However, I don't know what Greddy policy is on rebuild so you might want to look into it if you plan on get any coilover - hopefully it's similar to Stance or Kts.

enjoy

according to Greddy...8k front and 6k-progressive rear.

On the way home from work, I dialed in 2 click firmer in the front and it's less bouncy now, almost gone except at low intermediate speed. It also seemed to smooth out the low speed rolling bumps. However, it's getting a little less street friendly now. I guess I'm getting old.

Enjoy

One click hard up front and more seat time, the car feels a lot better at all speed. The boat like bobbing up/down at low speed (on the initial settingss) is now gone. The bouciness at intermediate/hiway speed is also gone or not noticible(2nd setup). Now it looks like it bounces once and catch itself, noticible if I look at the hood but I don't really feel it driving. Handling improved all around, crisper/more precise turn-in, a 1-3 mph more on/off cloverleaf ramps. Coming hard out of a turn, the suspension doesn't snaps back like it did on my old setup. I run 255/40/17 all around with a tanabe rear sway bar; the rest is stock (new bushing in the near future).

On an average good condition road, it feels very smooth and it gets smoother as the speed increases. Hard gravely (not loose)/rough type road, you feel a lot more vibration. Hopefully I can find someone in SoCal for a comparision with Stance and KTs.

Ironic now that my suspension bump absorbtion feels like my old eibach sport/kyb gr setup. Also the bad side, if there is a big/medium dip in the middle of the turn, the supension will unload and due to the short travel, you will loose traction if you apply too much throttle at the wrong time. It surprise me too .

Mix feelings on the Greddy coilover now, not as street-able as I thought initially but not that bad. I may try some assist springs to see it helps soften the supension a little. I'll let you know in the future. Right now I have to pay for these fist.

Enjoy

I was a little scared about the "blown shock bounce" ive heard that these were too soft but glad you got it fixed, how would you compare to other coils if you have ridden on others,

any pics?

thanks
