GReddy Type R BOV Question?

So this might be a dumb question but I was looking at GReddy's website where I was looking at their blow off valves. They have the Type S which they say is for under 400HP use and then the Type R for over 375HP applications. My question is if you are planning for more than 375HP eventually but you currently have far less than that, should you still get the Type R? In other words will it still function properly under not so high boost applications with perhaps not as much air flow? Thanks.
