Ok i looked around an found some info on the greddy turbo kit for my 1995 240sx but does anyone know exactly why it is designed for obd2 cars? I mean there is a guy on here who has the kit for his 1995 but he had trouble getting his started an has noises coming from his turbo? But yeah is it really safe to go head an order the kit for my car im pretty sure i can get it started?

you can probably re program the emanage to work with the OBD1, but I dont know. Yea someone here has a greddy kit on his 95 but he's not giving anymore details. I also talked to some of my japanese friends and they say it would NOT work for obd1 cars.

I used the wiring diagram off the obd-I s14 to wire my obd-II s14. It shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure your connections are good otherwise it'll run like @$$.

doctorj240, you have a 96 240(obd2) so it just a bolt on for you right? Is it possible to convert my obd1 to obd2?

all 95s are obd1. anything older is obd2. I think it would be too much trouble converting to obd2.

FYI my 95 is OBD2

and yes it would be way too much of a pain in the *** to convert your car into OBD2.

And if your car is a OBDI 95, the tech said that besides a good install, i.e. you connect everything up correctly, all you have to do is reprogram the E-manage. He specifically mentioned that the 95 and 96 are mechanically idenitcal. I hope he is right, I really want this kit!
