I recently emailed Greddy asking about a 240SX turbo kit, as I have seen recently that Turbo Mag ran an article on the greddy kit coming late in 03 I believe. Here is my response from Greddy.

Hello, I was wondering whether or not the Nissan 240sx turbo kit will be going to production. A lot of forums have said that Greddy terminated the production of the kit. But your site and also this months issue of Turbo Magazine state that there will be a turbo kit from you. I was wondering if there will be a turbo kit, and if so when we can expect it on the market?

ThanksRyan Fritts

Thanks for your interest in GReddy Products. We are still currently workingon the 240SX Turbo kit. However we do not have any specific data to release at thistime (no boost levels, horsepower, or pricing yet). We hope to have the kitavailable by late 2003. What we can tell you is the kit will be a good bolton street kit, that has a lot of room for upgrading. It will probably include new stainless cast manifold, downpipe adapter, some sort of TD06 turbo, and a pre programmed fuel enrichment unit, and all the necessary pipes and hardware, but again this is all preliminary and it may change. Please keep in touchwith your favorite Authorized Greddy dealer for more updates.http://greddy.com/dealers/

I think they will produce it, mainly because of how drifting is becoming popular. When is another story. As to the price the rest of their kits are not terrible in price. So why should this one be any different.

well i have some good news. greddy is supposed to release their kit at the end of this month. it is going to use a tdo5 turbo, comes with e-manage, injectors, and what not. down part is you have to buy the intercooler kit seperately. stock settings they said another 65 HP to the wheels but im guessin with the upgrade fuel injectors and fuel pump it will produce more. no specifics on the injector size or turbo trim though

I'll believe it when I see it, then go make my own KA-T :D

I still think NSport is gonna be a better deal, IMO

Premade turbo kits blow, only way to do it is to jump in head first and put one together on your own, like I did :)

some of us would like to keep it simple and dont have the time to source out parts for a turbo, and some people dont have the knowledge. yes we know you do, i do too. so your proud and you're telling everyone you started your own post most of us will come across it marvel at your genious and then despise your obnoxiousness when your post isnt about the topic.let it go

Those of us in California might be more inclined to buy a kit that has a CARB EO number on it so we can pass smog legally, and perhaps avoid issues with cops from an unexpected search. It may prove to be an expensive option, particularly for the amount I am projecting it will cost for a kit from Greddy, but some may be willing to deal with it, or perhaps modify or swap the existing turbo for a bigger one. It uses the E-Manage, so with a support tool, you can change the programming to accept larger injectors. Unfortunately, the existing E-Manage programming is locked by password(based on someone's attempt to find pull the program from a Pre-tuned Emanage), but it can still be reprogrammed.
