who would be interested in buying a turbo kit form them if they did come out with one?
i been emailing them and they told me if i can get enough AC 2.5 owners to request this item they would prototype my coupe with the turbo.

it can definitely be done.. the boost would have to be limited though, and we would need more precise ECU tuning to protect the CVT

if Greddy goes forward this, I hope they keep us CVTs in mind!

With a name like Greddy its probably going to be at least twice as much as the ebay turbonetics kit. Another company that is available is sts, alittle cheaper. They make universal rear mount turbo kits. They would take the place of the muffler without comprimiesing any lag. Plus with it being in the rear they dont produce nearly as much heat as a regular kit so u dont need an intercooler just a water methanol injection and ur good. My friend jad one on a comaro ss and it worked out real well. I was thinking of this some time in the near future once i get settled in san diego in aug.

I wouldn't mind that price at all. Knowing that the turbo was built specifically for our car, as well as the quality that GReddy produces, it's definitely worth it. :dblthumb:

The CVT for the 2.5 is suppose to be worse than 3.5's so I'm unsure how they'll get around it. Anyone remember the dude with the white coupe and lambo doors that blew his CVT shortly after boosting his? Although I guess it depends on what PSI you set it too.

I dunno, if people are willing to pay the price for it, go for it. I'm expecting $3200+ for the kit, installation extra obviously. Honestly it IS something that you can do at home provided everything bolts on and you have some basic knowledge. Keep in mine if you screw up it's going to cost you time and money and not able to drive.

Even if you get the parts you are still responsible for drilling the hole in the oil pan for the return line. It's not easy if you do no drop the whole lower section. If by chance you have tools to drill in tight spaces it will be no problem. Keep in mind you are not drilling into the bottom oil pan, you need to drill above it... into the more "engine" part... I'm sure it isn't cheap... lol.

A shop will charge you an arm and a leg to install it, etc.

I dunno, if it's something you really want go for it. Fuel control is the key here. SAFC, Uprev? Unsure what they would use. Or maybe a stand alone... there's more money.

What was the expected price on this kit? If it's over 4 grand you might as well just do a V6 swap honestly for about the same HP gains.

But I will tell you one thing... the sound of the BOV... is pure sex. Lol.

Just to keep in mind for prices for brand name s***:

http://www.turbo-kits.com/sentra_turbo_kits.html

http://www.importeast.ca/powertech/turb ... okits.html

AND the biggest |RIP|OFF| of all:

http://www.myhotsentra.com/Custom/Turbo ... IT/530960/

You can get that same kit with even more stuff like a BOV etc from ebay as I did for like under a grand lol.

Note: I know they are for sentras/previous gen altimas but you can use all the parts (as I did). If someone wants to do it, go for it. Downpip obviously wont fit, spark plugs are different, etc...

Sorry guys I haven't kept you guys updated the reason is I haven't been updated myself. I been sending GReddy emails for the past 2 days and they haven't replied back. Im not giving up on you guys tho im really trying my hardest, just hang in there! Also I'll make sure to tell GReddy (once I get a hold of them) to make the kit CVT friendly (that's if they decide to make a kit for our coupes). Also remember the more people being interested in the kit the more chance GReddy will make it. :D

What are you smoking??? LoL the first part of that statement is false, the second part is true as shiit.

FI is nothing to mess with. Thats alot of air, power, timing, ect. Making a custom downpipe aint happening in my drive way.

Leave this kinda thing to the professionals. Minor things can be over looked.

I said provided everything bolts on... IE premade down pipe that bolts to aftermarket/stock exhaust system. Obvously if you've never welded before it will be difficult... my friend and I did mine quite fine... :P Although we had a lift and a guy that knows how to weld.

I'm willing to throw my car out there for a 3.5 turbo kit. I have a back up car, so no ride wouldn't bother me too much. Is anybody else interested in the 3.5?
