Hello again, all

I have recently stumbled across a cool little toy called the Greddy Infometer Touch. Does anyone know if it could be used in S13's?

All websites I've visited say its for OBD II systems, except for nengun.com. They have an optional harness that is for older "non-OBD Nissans" Is this what I need?

I like the idea of an all in one monitor instead of the usual clutter of gauges, and also the fact it plugs straight into the ecu. No extra sensors needed! So any help would be greatly appreciated.

S13s are not OBD2......... less you have put an OBD2 motor in it.

I would be leary of an OBD2(ish) adapter for an ECU, but it may work.

Apexi had a full unit like this for non-OBD2 cars, cant remember the name off the top of my head.

also, MegaSquirt has a full LCD display adapter kit.

The greddy infometer should work if your car has a nissan consult port. I run a blitz r-vit and it works on my friends S13's with consult ports which is similar to the infometer.

Hmmmm.... would an s14 sr20 have an OBDII connector somewhere on the harness? OR is this something you've got to splice up somewhere?

Also, what is a consultant port?

Do all all S13's have this Consult port? Also, I'm under the impression that the Consult and OBD I are two different things. Can u clarify for me, please? I tried writing to nengun, but they won't advise on anything for legal reasons.

I'm particularly interested in this because it reads directly from the ecu vs. having to drill and install new sensors.

All dual cams should have the consult part as far as i know. Single cam guys are out of luck I believe.

Thanks all,

I convinced my wife to get me this as an additional X-mas gift (More like she splurged on a new diamond ring, so I got a greenlight for a new toy for my car )

So I'll let everyone know how it goes...

Hmm. Can anyone clear this up for me? I had a 89 sohc 240sx and it had OBD I or II (can't remember; back in HS) and I was able to hook up a unit that would run the codes on my car. It was located in the driver side, interior kicker panel fuse box. The one with the little door you can open (just to clarify).
