Please help me out guys... I am installing the Greddy TD06 kit myself due to I wont pay 1300 for a shop to do it...

1st question... If you installed your kit... How did you get past installing the Turbo manafold with the stock log studs? Or did you replace them with the 4 extra short ones I found with the fuel rail... PICS PLEASE! god ones that show the studs even if put together...

2nd question... The fuel rail... I have no idea what some of the parts are for that come in the package... Could I get PICS of your fuel rail to help me install mine... I need Fuel inlet and outlet pics and injector pics... All put together!

ALSO! if any of you have pics from your install about your intercooler... no instructions are with it... + the Greddy TD06 instructions SUCK!

Thanks for you help!

Can the manifold seat against the head properly or does it hit the stud? If so, you might be able to get it on my starting to thread the nuts on with some speace between the head and the manifold. You have to do this on the rev-hard mani. It's a little bit of a pain to do it this way, but it can get done. The the manifold hits the end of the stud though, you will probably want a slaightly shorter stud.

BTW guys the Greddy instructions blow so hard... Its just easier to go by the pic’s, and wing the rest...

I found where the intercooler goes... its easy to see once you hold it up in the front...

The injectors and total guess work... I don’t see any other way but how I did it though. They are all in and look very nice. btw there is no + side on any of the injector stuff that came with the kit... So I rewired it just like the old wires were cut off. (shrug... hope it works)

The manifold... what a *****! So I replaced all the bottom studs that hit with it short ones... My old exhaust seal was torn up a bit on the 1st cylinder... Well I guess it toasted those studs... one broke at 30lbs when I was toruqing on the head... Now that set me back cuz I have to take it all off and get a damn easy out.

The oil return line I had done at a shop... I don’t have a welder so it was just easy this way.

The ECU I have all done (a while ago)

Anyways... So far I have about 8 hrs for the ECU wire and mounting + the Pro E-01 wires and mounts...

And about 7 hrs into the rest.... 15 hrs so far...

If this all works for me I will make note and take pic’s of everything... Tell how I did it and stuff... So there will be a little more info on the web once I am done.

btw HAPPY B-DAY ME!

EDIT: BTW the best way to reach the bolts under the mani are shot wrenches... Or a craftsman 14mm cut in 1/2! lmao... I got some crow's feet and they work good... The wrench is easy and does not cost $60 for a kit of 10... or $8 each.

I'm done installing the kit...

My car runs fine... Cept I think the shop that took apart my turbo messd up the stock boost setting on the waste gate, it hit 11 psi on my 1st test... I let off fast and did not push it past 6psi the rest of my driving...

It pulls hard now...

I think I have my boost controler and **** done up right...

I have the Pressure sinsor on the FPR vacume line.

I have the instructions for the intercooler if anyone wants me to E-mail them to you...

The turbo instructions blow... I kinda just winged everything...

I'll be posting pics of my car of me installing things...

If you have this kit and have qustions about the install I can help, My way may not be right but it works fine. Cept the over boost

I'm going to take it in to get tuned this week and see about 8PSI

BTW for the bumper support, Get at LEAST 6 cutting disks... and a few grinding ones... TUNS to cut off of it. also say goodbuy to the stock fog lights... May as well cut the brackets off... Also you need to trim quite a bit of your bumper...

The manafold that comes with the kit is a ***** to put on... Not enough for a wrentch to fit so I cut one in 1/2 and shaved down the sides... fit good then but you cant torqe it down... I just pulled super hard...

I got some studs that were the wrong thred type and broke one o my old ones in the engine... It was the one that was cooked by my old seal being bad... An easy out took care of it easy..

and last but not least...

You will need an asortment of sockets, wretches, I few long extenders (helps alot) a med size torqe wrentch, power grinder/cutter, soldering iron, Teflon, factory manule, heat gun, and lots of time... We hit the store like 6 times for randome things.

The total install took my bro and I 35 hrs, allot of that time was standing and trying to guess what they ment in the instructions... I think we could cut it to 20hrs if we did it again.

well right after the E-Manage the idle is messd up... It drop to 500 once and a while and dies sometimes... It does not do this when I have the AC on...

Also if I just push in the clutch while driving and it drops from 3k it will go below the 1k and almost die.

Do you know how to solve this?

That is the exact same problem that I've been having since I put the kit on.

Its got to be the E-manage... It happend after I installed that...

And everything seems to work on it... Cept the anti stall... It wont raise the rpm's at all... I'll work on the issue and call greddy.

EDIT: Did you install the ignition wire? For timing.

Yeah, I installed the ignition wire after I had the kit for 2 months. I haven't gotten around to calling Greddy because every time I call the guy who answers is a big *******. He doesn't seem very interested in helping, in fact he's just downright rude.

Did your car have this issue before the ignition wire was installed?

And yeah the person I talked to was an *** to.

I am going to undo the ignision wire when I get home... See if thats the issue... If not I'll call them and see what they say.

Sorry but had to comment on your first post, $1300 did you shop around? the prices I got where around 400-500.

I even got a $1500 but wait that included: custom intercooler piping, custom manifold, down pipe, exhausts, oil return lines and welding, $$tuning$$, installation of a greddy e-mange and install of a bunch of other stuff (gauges, injectors, ignition amplifier, fuel pump, ect)

Up in vancouver WA i dont have many options...

This was a quote from a well known machine shop, they do top notch work and its $65 an hr... They do all sorts of race cars, from nascar to dragsters.

Its Toms Performance... I hear they are good for a buncha people that have Cobra's and whatnot up here.

I purchased the kit a few months back, and I am rebuilding the Engine right now. I was wondering about the Ignition harness (optional). Where did you connect that up to and did it affect anything once you used it? Also, are you running the Profec E-01, because that is supposed to have the built in idle fix. That may fix the problem, may not. I may be purchasing this, but wanted to see how other people run the kit without it. Plus it acts as a boost controller as well as support tool. Also, if you could email me those pics of your install (especially the oil tap to pan) that would be very helpful. Thanks,

For the Ignition harness, Its only 1 wire, and the special plug... its listed as (t) in the instructions, on our ECU.

Also, Yes I have the Profec E-01. My idle issue was cured, I think by turning off the anti stall... It was at 1% and when I put it at 0% it stopped... (hope that helps)

If you go to http://www.zilvia.net I have all my pic's posted there... http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=49624 <-- link

I had the shop install the oil pan, most of my kit was installed just useing the pics fromt the install instructions at http://www.greddy.com

Thanks man. Do you have the injector harness too? I'm guessing that's the same thing almost, connects into the ecu too?
