As promised, here are some before and after vids showing (hopefully audible...) the sounds of my compressor surge before getting the BOV settings/plumbing right, and after - with it recirculated and doing it's job.

Not the greatest vids, but hopefully you get the idea.

Compressor surge clip:http://videos.streetfire.net/v...3.htm

Cruising around with it stopping the surge ("pop!"):http://videos.streetfire.net/v...2.htm

At the end of the last clip I had to let off, it was rainy and getting sideways at the top of 2nd...

Set up is IAP kit, T3/T4, 240km/h speedometer, 11lb flywheel, and only 5 PSI at the moment!

I'm running into some serious surge issues with my Type R valve. It's not recirculated, and if I get it loose enough that it doesn't surge, it leaks around 10psi.

I'm using the secondary assist port, plumbed into the hotpipe (BOV is also mounted to the hotpipe).

Anyhow, yours sounds pretty good. Thanks for sharing!

KATwo40 - I think you need to hook your assist port up to your intake manifold instead, so the BOV opens/is assisted when it should be. I could be wrong but that may fix your problem. If that doesn't help, try playing with using 1 or 2 springs (if it has 2 springs, i'm not sure on the Type-R), the settings, and with/without the assist port if need be.

WDRacing, my vids use embedded Windows Media player, so try updating your version and/or making sure you've got the plugin set up and it should work for ya!

Thanks for the help. Currently, there's one spring and when I tried using no assist port, it would not even open below 10psi, regardless of the adjustment on the spring.

I'll try using the cold side plumbing for the assist port and see how that goes. Maybe I can loosen the spring a bit without the leakage.

Thanks again!
