greddy profec b spec II with apex solenoid?

my greddy profec b spec II boost controller stopped workign a few months ago. not until recently did i find out it was the greddy solenoid that was the cause of me not being able to increase boost above 8psi. i acquired an apex boost controller valve for free so i want to know if i can use it with the profec b. anyone here try this before?
