All i've heard about the profec B spec II has been bad. I'd stay away from it if i were you. I don't know anything about the profec E-01. Get a 'first gen' Profec B if you can find one. Boost controllers don't get any easier than the first profec B.

you mean the profec A? That's what I've got and like I posted in the other thread it's one of the best boost controllers out there. However they were discontinued, but get it if you find one. I don't know much about the E-01, I knew a guy over here that had it in his soarer. It looked nice and it was tricky to setup, it's made to be used with the e-manage.

I was actually refering to the original profec B. The profec A uses fuzzy logic whereas the original profec B does not.

I have a Profec B Spec II and it is OK. It is fairly easy to install and setup.

One thing I don't like is that you set the boost level in a wastegate duty cycle percentage. You do not set the boost at a specific pressure level. Like .5 BAR or 1.0 BAR.

You have to set it at a percentage, zero being the stock wastegate minimum boost and 100% being the wastegate's maximum.

Another thing I don't like is that, at least on mine, when there are dramatic changes in the temperature, I have to readjust the boost level percentages. I would like to be able to set it at .5 BAR and then it be all set.

Other than those gripes it is fairly simple to operate.

From my experience the Profec B II has been a step down from the original.

Dude the GReddy E-01 is quite possibly the BEST boost controller on the market. Combine it with the E-Manage and you have the closest to a "stand-alone" fuel management system as you can get. It is very user firendly and is a set it and forget it piece of equipment. BUY IT. You wont be disapointed. BTW Signal Auto uses them in there cars.

I am currently runnning the Profec E-01. I have the E-manage but waiting to install it with my turbo kit, like sidewaz said it really is the best non-standalone Fuel controller on the market. Once u get the hang of the E-01 its a snap, then with the emanage you can control fuel (individual injectors w/ the injector harness) and timing too. Even VTECH if needed (although Hondas suck). The E-01 can be set manually or automatically and you can also set duty cycles for the wastegate to eliminate boost creep, It's by-far the most technologically advanced BC out. I can't wait to put that emanage to good use.....should do me plenty good.=)

93Niss240 is right in the ball. It is THE BEST and I will be running it on my car. One other thing, go to the dyno to get it done right. Yes dyno time is'nt cheap, but it's a hell of alot cheaper then wrecking your engine. BTW 93Niss, I think u and I would get along famously b/c I agree.....Hondas FUC#ING SUCK!!!!!!!. Hey Silva if you can check out Tuner Performance Reports (TRP) magazine issue #II. It has EVERYTHING you need to know about the E-01 and other boost controllers. Easy.
