Greddy pressure sensor, how accurate?

So the pressure sensor “replaces” the stock MAF, grate…

I am wondering how accurate it is.

And do I still need to run my stock maf, if not, how do I avoid error codes, or does the e-manage take care of that?

Lastly my instincts tell me I should place it right before the TB, true?

In the book it sez thats its for use when your car runs out of range of the MAF or MAP... I'm not sure if it can replace the whole thing...

^ i know....I’ll have to call greddy about that.

I think its a grate deal, 100 bucks for a new "maf" rather then spending 100+ on a used maf and wiring it somehow, while this is plug and play

This is what I found out:

The pressure sensor goes right before the TB

It doesn't replace the MAF, the ECU will continue to read from the MAF but e-manage will read from the pressure sensor.

In other words the e-manage will ignore the maf, you still need to run it to avoid error codes.

Yeah that seams kinda weard before the TB...

They have a cord that goes between your E-01 and E-manage to use the same boost signal, off the FPR... That way you dont need to spend the extra $120 if you have the E-01... I sent mine back.

I would assume because it only reads positive pressure, which makes sense since its used in conjunction with the MAFS.

And it can only be used with turbo or supercharger

Are you SURE about that? I did a *lot* of reading about the e-manage and how it works, and from what I understand, it still reads outputs from the MAFS, but uses the pressure sensor to expand the range/resolution of the map- so that you can tune more accurately and to larger dimensions. I'm REALLY not sure that it actually allows you to "forget about" buying a bigger MAFS...

Quote »use this sensor to scale the map table, this is used when the factory system exceeds maf or map limit, best used with turbo or supercharged engines[/quote]key words: factory system exceeds maf so when the stock maf is maxed out, the pressure sensor takes over, or the e-manage ignores it, I don’t think the e-manage will read both sencors and "choose one"

oh okay gotcha, it ignores the MAFS once you've exceeded the factory MAFS' capabilities. Thats actually pretty sweet- save yourself sourcing and buying a Z32 MAFS.. Although still, everyone I know who has the e-manage uses a bigger MAFS AND a pressure sensor.

Does the e-manage software list the stock S13 MAFS?
