I'm having second thoughts about getting Nismo Catback, don't know what it is but after seeing pics in the Install thread I was turned off. I hate that it Narrower and the Exhaust doesn't look that appealing.

Having the 3.5, I'm not interested in the HP gains if any. I hate to admit but I want others to see my upgrade. This is why I'm considering getting the GReddy, to me has a nice Tone like Nismo but I'm wondering why it cost more?

I'm a owner of a greedy TI c here... And IMO if u are lookin for a upgrade that's more appealing I think the spectrum elite is your way to go...

from wat i've read before & i might be mistaken but the greddy exhaust is the closest exhaust to being straight pipe w/out customizing... also isnt the piping bigger as well?? another thing i've heard is that the nismo exhaust has a governor on it that holds it back from its full potential, thats why ranga had cut his nismo exhaust & did a custom nismo... Again im not too sure but thats what i've heard... im sure some1 on the forum has more knowledge than me on this topic.

im also tossing up the thought of greddy or nismo.. i honestly love the tone of the greddy exhaust & of coarse the burnt tips. I feel like if you save another $200 I can get something i want instead of settling for something cheaper. i've also considered the LSD exhaust over the nismo exhaust... so as of right now im rankin the greddy 1st, LSD 2nd, & nismo last

greddy spectrum is the way to go... IMO. you can always find distributors to sell the greddy for cheaper. thats what im doing. i found one that lower the cost almost $250 from original price!

Greddy TiC for performance (better flow-through setup than the SE, but ricey-er looking). SE for looks + performance.

Both of which have better gains than the Nismo.

Am I the only one that wishes the SE had normal chrome finishers instead of the blue stuff?

Also - what is this distributor business?

nismo exhaust keeps the stock look with an aggressive grunt.
I'd recommend the SE, the sound and blue tips are more appealing.

IMO the LSD looks better than the Greddy, form the back it looks real aggressive and has a nice tone to it and you dont get that annoying drone when your on the freeway and its half the price. i know they were working on a prototype for the vq a few months back, i bet if you asked thisisjune, he would know since he works there.

I say Nismo exhaust with the RacingLine Y pipe dude. The other exhaust`s just sound like ur reving a V6 that belongs to a 4.0L truck or something. My Nismo grabbs attention all the time. The pipes are bigger and have a nice chrome shine to it than stock. Also it has such an amazing purrrr that the other exhausts dont offer. If your looking for something thats really loud, sets off car alarms when idling and looks like you have 2 cannons at your rear then the Greddy and the Borla is for you. If you want something that looks classy\ Gish with a G35 on steroids sound you go for the Nismo. Dude just go on youtube and check out the different sound clips for yourself. Also in my opinion the Se looks sooo ricey, something you would install on a Honda S2K.

i'd say go with the spectrum elite, i'm partial to the sound and the tempered tips. i would have bought one, had i not found such a good deal on my tanabe. i'm hoping to order a y-pipe soon as well, so keep an eye out for that video on youtube since i haven't seen one of a tanabe + y-pipe setup yet :naughty:

i'd say go with the SE. nice growl to it + it's more of a show exhaust rather than the ti-c which looks like rice cannons to me

If you don't care about HP gains then you shouldn't care if it's narrow. People aren't going to see your cat back portion are they? The pluses of it are the sexy Nismo tips and the sexy sound it makes. So really, if you aren't interested in HP gains then just get a new muffler.
