Is it worth getting it? Does anyone have any experience with it and where does the filter get relocated to. I've heard that the stock location is a real ***** to get at, so I was looking into getting this.Chris

It doesnt add power. The main purpose of this is for convenience. With the relocation kit, you can position the oil filter wherever you want that the hoses will reach. There may also be an adapter hole for oil temp gauges to plug into. The stock SR oil filter is somewhat hard to access, but nothing impossible, only takes a minute or two to get off.

believe it or not I actually really like where it is now, its really easy to get to compared to my teg. I'm just thankful I don't have to get under the car to get to the oil filter.

Its where the arrow is pointing. It is below the intake manifold between the starter and alternator.

I just ordered mine along with my Greddy oil pan and other toys, just to help keep my new engine nice and clean and so I can see oil leaks (hopefully none) if I get any. I hate getting oil all over my engine when I take off filters. I have an s14 SR and supposedly its hard to get to, but I have not seen much of a difference from the s13. Then again I have not installed my SR yet. I will be mounting it on the passenger side strut tower, right next to where the filter sits on the engine. From the pictures, I don't think the supplied hoses will let you go much farther than that.

Then again, if I wouldn't have spent so much money on stuff like that I could afford the Defi Link gauges I want so bad now...

I got the relocation kit and its pretty, but what are all the extra ports for on it? I know one of them would be for a oil pressure gauge, but its got 5 ports.

There are 2 extra ports on the engine side, and 3 on the filter side. What can go to these? I know the instructions say something about an oil cooler (I don't read Japanese so I don't know for sure) but what are all the others?

Maybe one of the 2 on the engine side is oil temp too? Just throwing that out there...

The bigger ports would be for Feed and Return oil lines going to a cooler. The smaller ports will be for sensors like oil pressure and oil temp.

Only problem with relocation kits and oil coolers is that they are sensitive to leaks.

I accidentally put too much oil in my car, left it unoticed and the car started to leak oil.. pita to fix.

but.. the ease of changing the oil supercedes that.

Theres only one problem with that theory, there's only one large port, (with a stepped sliver bolt that has an o-ring on it) the other 4 are the same exact size (black short allen heads).

So..... is it possible that the outlet to the oil cooler is smaller than the inlet from it, or would the oil come out or maybe go in somewhere other than at the relocation kit?

Oh, I'm figuring that the 2 ports on the engine side could possibly be for oil lines for an aftermarket turbo?

I am not sure, I have never seen the Greddy kit.

Speaking of the Devil... just went to the store to get some cigs and beer and the damn oil cooler feed line blew out on me.... DAMN!!!!!

Had to roll the car all way home.

I'm taking my oil cooler off for now.
