I just upgraded my turbo to a t28. I put it on a ssa mani and bought a greddy 02 dump to go with it. The problem is once i hooked up everything up i tried dropping it all in and the o2 dump wasnt clearing the steering column quite enough. The mani sits on some of the studs (the studs toward the back of the engine) a little more than the others (the ones towards the front, where they barely are sitting on at all) and the manifold also sits at a downward angle. I need to push the manifold up and onto the studs but i cant because of the clearence issues with the o2 dump and steering column. Has this happened to any of you before with this o2 dump. any suggestions? I'd prefer not to bang in the o2 dump with a ballpeen hammer either because the exhaust flow is divorced from the wastegate flow and I dont want to block off the flow from the wastegate, but if thats what I've got to do then I guess I will. Thanks for the help

i find it funny that you blamig your greddy divorced housing other than you ssa crap manifold. put your stock mani on and see if it clears

Word. It's the mani, not the Greddy piece. Mine clears with extra room to spare. Get a real mani, or just stick with the stock unit.

It was not the manifold. It was this piece of metal that I grinded off of my motor mount that was holding it on, it was hitting the bottom of my compressor housing the same time that the o2 dump was touching the steering column. but when I grinded this off everything lined up with clearance perfectly.
