I was looking around ebay last night for some parts for my RB25 and saw a buy it now auction for what appears to be a Greddy intake manifold for the RB25DET. He doesnt speak english so well so it was hard to understand some of it, but from what I got from it they were Greddy and brand new and the best part was they were selling for $212 bucks. Hes a verified powerseller and his page says all the pictures are of the actual item. I went and checked a few pictures and it looks identical to a Greddy manifold places sell for over $800. They had 3 last night, I checked this morning and they only had 1 left so I jumped on it. I choose the snail mail cause Im broke, but if anyone here got one and gets theres before me post up here and tell us if its the real deal. If so, everyone check for ebay seller Japan_Dyno from time to time and you could get a hell of a deal =)

Hmm I wonder if these are the cast knock offs I've been hearing were coming out. in one of the pics you can see the casting looks flawed at the surface. If you got it DEF keep us posted on its fitment and all that. How much was it after shipping and all ?

I don't think it is authentic Greddy. Along the lines of if it's too good to be true...

On the auction only place Greddy is mentioned is "GReddy look same way like GTR´ Manifold´s". I consider "Greddy look" to mean the same thing as "Greddy style".

I can see that the quality of the finish isnt real good, but other than thats whats wrong with it? The welds look clean, the metals seems to be thick. Why wouldnt it work just as well?

Its cast there are no welds that may be why they look clean. The inside of that casting I bet looks bad. Buy it if you want cheap sh*t.

When buying cars parts, always refer to this, It's never wise to buy cheap parts, especially for your performance vehicle. It's just a matter of time before it breaks and you can't blame anyone but yourself.

from personal experience with the "greddy style oil pans"...yah theyre total crap...not worth a penny PERIOD...the oil pan i had was a **** cast...the metal flaked off...it constantly leaked from one of the bolt holes (all were torqued correctly)...even with grey gasget maker applied around the very edges for proper sealing it leaked...friend of mine bought a fake greddy intake for his SR...same type of casting...cheap flakey metal...the manifold leaks as well (even after we took it to a machine shop to have all the ports flatend out and polished)

and can u imagine what that flaked off metal would do inside your motor...i had my oil pan on for about 2 months and immediately removed it when i noticed a metal sheen to my oil after i did my oil change (you could actually see little metal flakes from the pan in the oil)...dont waste your money on a "fake greddy style whatever"...theres a reason theyre so cheap

sinve it's not going to go under extreme heat, it should be okay

oil pan I can understand buy why not intake manifold? spend another 50$ to port the inside and it would be the same or even better than the real thing.

greddy is cast, ebay is still cast, once the coarse craftmanship is eliminated it's the same thing at the cheaper price

I bought greddy for the sr20det at a nissan dealer and I really don't think it's that good either

not all casting is the same. the ebay one probably has 10x the impurities the greddy unit has. more impurities = weaker

call me crazy, but something that is directly connected to my engine, and could very likley cause its destruction via failure, i want a high quality part.

its a knockoff dude. you can see the casting marks on the manifold and it says 81mm inlet and the gredys come with a 90mm inlet for the 90mm q45 throttle body. dont feel bad though im shure its well worth 200 bucks

WHOA...i dunno where youre gettin that info from...but i have actually had BOTH oil pans in my posession (the greddy and fake greddy)...there is a CONSIDDERABLE difference in craftsmanship...the greddy didnt flake ANY metal off (of which you can do to the fake ones by just sliding your fingers over them) and felt considderably stronger...the fake greddy one was very easy to scratch...the greddy one was not

the craftsmanship is not always better...the way these things work is the OEM manufacturer of the design creates a newer and better design...they tend to cease production of the older product...they also give up the rights to the design of the product alot of times because of the newer and improved designs...thats where these "fake" replicas come into play...the replica company will make a "clone" using very cheap materials and poor castings...the design and integrity of the product is no longer assured and is 99% of the time...CRAP

if you want...go ahead and be cheap...buy the knock off parts...but in 3-6 months time when things no longer work correctly or ur parts begin to break or crack...dont sit around and cry because u went with the 150 dollar ebay special instead of the 700 dollar authentic part

in the world of cars and car parts...YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR
