Bought this from 240sxmotoring.com 3 or so weeks ago. Anyway I finally got all my stuff this week to start putting it together but ran into some issues. Since i paid close to a grand for it I expect a real quality piece. Maybe this one got by QC??

Issue 1) Q45 throttle body

Issue 2) IACV or AAC

This got me wondering how the runner ports would line up with the head...

Any one running the greddy mani wanna chime in?

edit: Just to add.. pretty sure that's the correct way and not upside down.

actually from what i can tell from the pics doesnt look like a copy to me. all the copies ive seen dont have the rectangle for the greddy emblem (i could be wrong about this tho). also the casting looks a **** ton better than the chinese castings ive seen. i had a real SR greddy and my buddy bought a "freddy" IM and the difference between the castings were night and day. the throttle body is not on upside down. i would call them up and see what they say tho. maybe send you out a new greddy unit. was this suppose to be a brand new greddy IM from them? if so did it come with the greddy emblem and more than a couple vac nipples?? if its supposedly a brand new greddy IM then it should have came with the emblem and like 3 or 4 vac nipples along with a **** load of other things in a greddy bag with japanese instructions.

it came with vac hoses, barbs, the greddy emblem, instructions and came in a greddy box. I'm just wondering if anyone else had notice the port for the TB and AAC was off like mines.

i think i remember my AAC gasket slightly off but it wasnt that bad. and my throttle body seated perfectly. no overlap or anything.

the knock off use pretty much the same mold

are they local to you ? if so, take take it back and bring the TB with you and show them the issue and try to fit on another greddy IM and see if the issue is the same. as far as i know the real greddy IM fit perfectly, not offset like that.

or

if you don't want to hassle with returning it (which i will, since you paid good $ for it) any how, pull out a dremel tool and port match it.

then again, i don't think greddy qa/qc will let that pass.

i had a similar issue with mine i just ported it to match the TB, also that dose not look like a knock off to me, that casting look way better than the knock off manifold. i guess you never know though.

Eek, yea, Installed about 4 of them and never had any misalignment issues.

we dont sell copies. we are a direct distributor of Greddy. Largest in the Northeast.

We have contacted Greddy about this and we shall see what they can come up with.

Send the retailer as well as greddy an email about the situation... They should replace it for you... I recently had a similar thing happen with an s14 greddy intake manifold. Fortunately I was fitting an N15 throttlebody on it so I had to hog out the manifold anyways. Greddy must be slipping on the QC or something...

well sometimes these things happen. ive bought plenty of parts from 240sxmotoring, he does not sell fake products. dont be so quick to put negative info about a company. anyways im sure greddy will take care of this so just hang tight and jeff will work something out.

as for blue fire. i think you ordered the wrong manifold. im pretty sure that the n15 TB is for the pulsar motor. and greddy makes another manifold for the s14 that utilizes that manifold specifically. but good job making it work i guess.

Just for the record, it was not my intention to accused 240sxmotoring of any wrong doing. I guess in hindsight I should have gone straight to them but I wasn't sure myself if the issue was normal or a quality issue/defect from Greddy.

Nah I use the tomei adapter kit to bolt the N15 TB on. Then you have to port out the manifold for the larger bore. I've done this on numerous stock s13, s14, greddy manifolds... But I think greddy is releasing an S14 version so its a direct bolt on. Unfortunately S13's still get no love...
