Soooo, Im not such a huge fan of GReddy right now. Maybe 2 months ago my car wouldnt start one day, trying to jump it would continually blow the 30A ignition fuse. After scratching my head for a few hours, I noticed my Greddy timer wasnt coming on at all. I pulled out the harness, reconnected it back to stock, and it fired right up. What the hell, I thought, maybe I just got a bad timer.

So yesterday, Im driving like normal, all the suddem it feels like I run out of gas. The car wouldnt rev, just bogged down till it died. I pull over, try to start it, and it will crank and turn over for a little bit, then die. I check for all the normal stuff (IC piping loose, MAFS plug on, no loose connectors anywhere, etc.) and dont see anything suspect. I pull out my ECU and check for codes, and sho-nuff its throwing a MAFS code. So, I unhook it, it starts in limp mode, and I get it home. Try another MAFS today, no dice. So I check all my pins on the MAFS plug, all 4 are showing ground. W.T.F., over?! Sooooo, I proceed to pull apart all my MAFS wiring, checking continuity to the ECU from the plug, and Im getting nada on the signal wire. On a whim I bypass my EManage loop, and BAM, 4.5 on the signal wire at the plug.

Long story short, I seem to now have a bad timer AND a bad EManage, all in 2 months time. I went ahead and redid all my MAFS wiring with a new Z32 plug, reset the ECU, checked for codes, and it was all 55.

So Im not going to buy anymore GReddy stuff, and Im going to either get a replacement for these two pieces OR make an IED out of them and blow myself up on the GReddy front door step.

should check your 12vdc signal to your ign source.. Something grounded out and that's what screwed u. need to go deeper and find out what shorted. Happened to me. Did u have a fusible link inline with the turbo timer? Protection!

Oh sweet, I know I had to update it to the most recent firmware when I first installed it, but Im not sure if every one has to do that or if the newer ones have it preinstalled.

Imma call GReddy next week and ask em, see if I can get an RA # for my timer and Emanage, maybe get an Ultimate out of the deal

Thanks for the info.
