This is for S14 Greddy FMIC users. My question is: What are you guys using to cap off the small pipe on the cold pipe just in front of the throttle body. I'm talking about the 3"(in length), small, slightly curved pipe that joins the cold pipe a couple of inches in front of the throttle body.

Mine had a plastic cap that was glued or epoxyed to the pipe and it worked fine for several months, but it cracked and came off 2 days ago. The guy that helped me swap the SR into the car couldn't remember where it came from. He said he thought it came with the FMIC, but I don't think it did.

What are you guys using, or what are your suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

No, I don't think it does. I've been running it for a few months capped off.

do you have a S14 SR or S13 SR?

In S13 SRs, that little nipple on the cold pipe goes to the IACV. However in S14 SRs, it is used for the recirc valve.

OK....here's a pic of the pipe I'm talking about. There is a smaller pipe underneath the IC pipe that goes to the IACV. The red arrow is pointing to the one that I've had capped off.

The second pic is just me whoring out my engine bay. I haven't posted one yet, so there ya go.

Try your local hardware store and just find a rubber cap that would fit there.

Also, you can try a heater hose with a bolt big enough to fit inside the hose and just clamp it using a hose clamp.

Both the bolt and the rubber cap, Im sure you can find at a local hardware store.

Take it to a shop and have them weld it off, should cost about $20 and look a whole lot cleaner.
