I moved this from the 240sx Tech. area to here for a better responds.

I keep hearing that you have to reprogram the eManager that comes with the Greddy Turbo Kit to work on a '95 240sx because of the ODB thing. I have read the manual for the eManager and I can not find anything that is ODB spacific. Could someone tell me what exactly needs to be change for the Turbo Kit to run on a '95 ODBI car.

The eManager uses the MAF, Inj., RPM, and Throtle Signals. Are these signal different on the ODBI and ODBII cars?

Thanx,

The sensors the E-Manage taps into are the same for the OBDI and OBDII S14. The injectors are also the same. That being said, there would be little difference if any in the timing and fuel maps of the ECU. Therefore, the E-Manage should work fine on the OBDI S14. And the preprogrammed E-Manage with the Greddy Turbo Kit should also work fine.

You should just try and forget about OBD anything... Nothing has anything to do with OBD... No where has that ever been said... Except by randome people.

The E-Manage will install into 99% of all fuel injected cars...

To put it better... The only thing that keeps this kit from b'ing installed into any car is the rest of the kit...

Anyways I would never stick with the stock tune... So dont even factor that in... Hit a good Dynotune shop and do it right.

Anyways my car was built in 1994... So no its not a late 95 that is OBD2... I dont even think there is such a thing as a 95 with full OBD2 becuse Nissan would have to create 2 different 1995 books... That would just be stupid on there part... Hvae you ever seen at Late 95 book with OBD2? nope.

Thanks c-kwik

I am wondering why Greddy says the kit is for 96-98. I thought it was because there were mid year changes that allows it to work with some but not all 95's.

Hard to say for sure, I speculate it has to do with getting CARB approval for their kit. They would have to do each separately. I think they are only targetting the OBDII cars for Carb Exemption if they decide to go through with it.
