GReddy E-manage

ok, i was interested in controlling my ECU with my laptop, but i was told its pretty impossible. people told me about the GReddy e-manage. i've been looking in to it, and i think i might do it. problem is, i can't find the compatability chart. has anyone here done it to their 240? if so, please help, im gonna need it.

the emanage is a universal piggy back if i'm not mistaken.

It's not exactly universal. There are rotary switches that need to be set according to the motor it is going on. Greddy does not support all applications. But in some cases, if you can find a motor with similar enough settings to yours, you may be able to use it. You'll have to figure out the wiring on your own though.

The S14 KA is supported. The S13 KA is not. But someone has used the E-Manage on an S13 KA and the wiring diagram is documented on the E-Manage yahoogroups files section. You will have to register and join the yahoogroup to see it.

You could aslso try the Apex'i FC. It's a complete stand-alone engine managment system that replaces the stock ecu. Now, is this the same as the Greddy E-Manages, or is that a piggy-back? Oh, and Pristine_S14, the Apex'i unit is durrently only available for SR's and they include sperate ones for S13 and S14 red or blacktops. No such luck for KA's though...

There is a Power FC for an s14 which mean sr20 but there is no application for a 240sx with a ka24de and I am pretty sure they don't make a universal Power FC. I have the Greddy E-manage its a piggy back. Just got it installed last weekend and have not had time to tune anything yet, hopefully this weekend though.

Yeah Ive heard good things about the Power Fc, but anyone know how much it costs??

lots. standalone ECU replacements are always more than the piggybacks

if i was going to buy a stand alone, i'd buy the Electromotive TEC3, the best of the best.

c-kwik: i registered on yahoogroups, and im obviusly new to it, so im not sure where to go for this wiring diagram you talk about. i found a thread that talks about a guy making a wiring diragram with paint, but i can't find the file to download. can you tell me where to find it? or if you have it, could you email it to me? thanks man, much apreciated.

ps: am i correct in assuming that the wiring for the KA24E is almost identical for that of the KA24DE as far as the emanage goes??

I think it was done on a KA24DE. I think the wiring may be the same. I am not 100% sure though.

I just looked at the file and he didn't include the rotary switch settings. You may want to email him to find out what he is using. He can be emailed through yahoogroups by clicking the hyperlink with his name(fatnakedmidgets). He is or used to be on one of the 240 lists. I'm sure he would be willing to share what he knows.
