greddy down pipe? for s13 sr20det

well I Am getting the greddy down pipe along with my stock sr20det swap

but I still have stock sized exhaust, how do they match up?

what does the down pipe do anyways? it's just bigger width compared to stock right?

I hope I am asking the right questions... thanks for the help!

The downpipe will bolt to the stock cat, the stock cat will bolt to the rest of the exhaust. I did it for a few weeks on my car. You'll want to ditch that stock exhaust pretty soon, though.

i think he's asking if it will match right up, because isn't the downpipe bigger internal diameter than the cat?

Yep works fine. I got a megan racing dp on my stock sr with stock exaust.
