Great service?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I dropped off my 2008 ex35 today for rear break service and interior&exterior detailing. I have 43,500 miles now and this is the first time I am servicing the break.

I was told that the break cost $440 parts&labor and detailing for $120(service adviser told me its a promo) in and out.
Last night I got a $50 coupon from Infiniti per breaks so I did get a discount of $100.

Later the day my service adviser told me that he found a problem on the front brakes and it is under service bulletin. He did not say much but he said it is under warranty and he will change the brake pads too which is normally not part of the warranty. He said my front breaks will only last for another 3 oil change.

So now he gave me the total cost includes tax $520 (with coupon)

Work done by a certified Infiniti mechanic.
Replaced rear break pads/ rotor resurface/ front break pads changed/ detailed inside and outside. A nice 2011 G37x sedan loaner. biggrin:

What do you guys think?

the total for the BRAKES sounds kinda' high... but if you already have had it done, no worries. Should be like new now.

Total $515 which include tax , Interior and exterior detailing, front and rear brakes pad replacement , rotor resurfacing.

There is really nothing wrong with my front brakes, but the service guy heard about the problem from other customers about brake pulsing or shaking when braking during a high speed driving. The service reciept shows warranty work on front brake due to defect on the brake shield that can cause to much heat and prematurely shorten the life the the brake pads. Though, I never have problem like that on my car, but he did it anyway and I am so happy that I got a total front brake service under warranty. The labor alone for Infiniti tech cost $200 :ohno:

I think my service adviser did a good job and should i write a letter on to the manager to give kudos to the guy?
