Do you guys think that this Combo is a good buy for my 2001 Maxima SE?It's either going to be these or a WARPSPEED Y I think.I have attached both links. Hoping for some seasoned responses as I am pretty new to the aftermarket part market.

Thanks.

P.S. I want to post some pics of my car on the members thread, do I just reply and attach them?

I've heard, though never experienced, that headers do little to nothing for hp gains and that a y-pipe is much more effective. Also, if you are into suspension, aftermarket headers don't work with the stage II blehmco lower tie bar...yet.

just my 2 coppers worth.

Yeah the pre-cat is in the Y-pipe, which is why the headers do less than an aftermarket Y. But I was just wondering if they were worth getting for the price, since most guys just say "for the price-tag, they're not worth it". This doesn't really say much about whether there are gains or not, but yeah there's probably minimal gains if anything. Probably better to go with the WARPSPEED, as it's been tried, tested & true by Beancooker I guess.

Anyone else?

Unless you are making a show car and need the bling; you're better off just getting the y-pipe.

You will need to host them somewhere on the web (photobucket, etc) and then attach them as an image.

The only thing that my headers did for me was give me a way deeper exhaust tone, which I like!

I think its a good deal for the price they're at. The design of the headers seem to be the same design as the stock ones, only shinier, so I dont think they would help you out performance-wise. But you also have to consider the labor on both parts. The y-pipe, by far, is the easiest of the two to install.
