Great find! How to remove shifter boot

Is this old news? I searched 'shifter boot,' and 12 topics popped up, but none of them was showing this. I remember someone asked about this recently too. Anyway, I removeed the boot tonight and this method worked like a charm, so I wanted to share.

Turn and pull it slowly at the same time. You have to be patient. I didn't break any taps and was able to remove all the lock washers perfectly. I hope this helps.

Did not know that. I always break them.

Same here. It really doesn't effect the boot at all either so it doesn't really matter if you break them or not.
