Hey, I've been searching for an RB25 lately and keep telling myself to stay away from the cheap places (like flashoptions and racinghard.com), but the $2000 plus shipping pricetag is SO tempting....

Anyway, I found this great article at www.totalboost.com about "getting what you pay for" situations with JDM engines. Although this place doesn't have RB clips right now (which is what I'm looking for), I think they successfully changed my mind about spending that extra 400-500 dollars to get a quality engine.

PS- If anyone can recommend quality RB dealers let me know! Thanks

Changed it a little to make it easier :)

Very good article, I think anyone who is looking for an engine should read it.

I'm going to submit it to the articles section after we get some approval from the author.

Thanks for sharing!

Good article. Hard to read with the alternating bold, regular, and red bold though

That's a damn good price for it, plus only like $500 for shipping to ID/WA!

How much are people usually paying for shipping?

Wow, guess $500 isn't so good for shipping after all...

Anybody else?

No, It's just that $200 is REALLY low, most places will not charge that much. I priced out shipping to Virginia and it was $234, and that is very cheap considering it's coming from somewhere in central Canada.

A couple of guys on honda-tech picked their motors up from his shop a little while back and we very happy with what they saw. Hopefully this shop is in it for the long run and we can see what quality of Nissan motors they are importing.
