I just got 245/45/17 Kumho Ecsta ASX (Ultra High Performance All-Season) and they are great. Very reasonable noise, ride is acceptable, grip is quite good. Nice big rain channels, which are necessary in Florida.Only $111 each shipped from the tirerack.comI found another one of the internet retailers that did them for 108 each shipped.

I ran Kumho All seasons (I don't remember which model) for many years when I owned a Honda Civic hatchback. I have nothing but great things to say about them. Great wet weather and snow grip in an all-season.

I had a set of those is 245-50-16 on 16x8's a buick Turbo Regal I had. It rode a little stiff, but the stick was amazing. Wet weather was pretty good too.

420 tread wear.

"Though labelled ultra high performance, this is a soft tire in the cornering department. Appearance, grip, ride, noise, and treadwear thus far are excellent. Unfortunately, during spirited driving, cornering is soft and delayed, forcing one to back off when previously on my factory Michelin pilots I was able to accelerate through the turn. I guess the most disappointing thing is the loss of responsiveness. If your current ride is too harsh, this is a great tire to soften the bumps in the road with great wet traction and not too much tread noise or wear. If you enjoy spirited driving, this tire is hardly "ultra high performance". To their credit, Tire Rack did call me when I ordered these tires to warn me that the side walls on these were not as firm/reinforced as my factory tires. I was willing to sacrifice that for better all-weather traction and a great price for a good-looking tire with an aggressive all-weather tread pattern yet still have quiet comfortable ride on dry pavement."

"originally had Dunlop SP 5000 tires which wore out in less than 17000 miles. I am very please with the performance of the ASX tires. They have a little more sway than the Dunlops did, maybe due to a less stiff sidewall"

ddrumman - I'd "stick" with something with a lower numerical treadwear - The magic # for the Q seems to be 200 and below...

I am running th Sumitomo HTR+ 255/45/17. I have been happy with them. I ran 4- to 42 PSI, for the first few months, and have dropped to 33 PSI, laely, to get more wear on the outside edges.

They are a good tire. Non directional, so you coan do a proper roatation. I may go to the HTR Z, next, to see what they are like.

I have ordered the Kumho's in a 225/50/17 for the I30t. I hope these are good. The wife has been running on Bridgestone OEM's for 50,000 miles (2 sets).

I'm running 245/40 & 255/35 Kuhmo Ecsta Supra 712s. Treadwear rating of 280 AA. Kinda pricey but they came in the sizes I wanted to run. They will wear long & (so far) have great grip. I plan on taking my Q autocrossing soon to test out the tires, Eibachs & Tokico blues set up I recently put in. And to have fun & see the looks on peoples faces when I line up to run my 4,000lb luxury car at an autocross!
