Hey guys you might have ssen the post about the tanabe spring issue. Well a few people pointed out that it might be that some of the bushings might need grease. What is the best grease to use for the bushings on our cars? I am looking for something that does not wash away very easily, and preferably in a sprayable medium.

I tried to get under the car and didnt see any zerk fittings for the ball joints on the car. I am guessing they are replacement only.

I am asking because the weather around here has been less than cooperative, lots of rain and I think that is why the suspension on the versa is squeaky. It sounds like I have dried up urethane bushings on the car right now. Everything squeaks and it is making me crazy.

White Lithium grease... you can get it in a spray can and it is probably the best for that sort of thing.

Isn't grease waterproof by definition?

Wouldn't non-waterproof grease be...water?

J/K. I may have to do a little lube job myself, because I'm getting this weird knocking sound when I take a corner. I thought it was a badly seated spring, but I'm thinking it might be the same problem that all of you are having.

Your right grease should all be water proof,That all depends on brand of grease,i have seen many so called greases just wash off under the car after time,This happens just from rain water. Its just like getting your car oil sprayed at you local under coating shop.many weeks later after several rain storms you are under your car ,and notice that the oil they sprayed on is not wet ,or what it looked like when you first had it done,Most of it just washed off,Thats because what ever they used was junk or diluted or some thing.Thats why bel-ray states Water proof,I used it on my Mx bikes for bearings and other items, never comes off.
